MEMO On Tour Presents: 3XY Top 40 LIVE at Frankston Arts Centre

In the 70s and early 80s, 3XY dominated Melbourne's radio airwaves. On Friday each week the Top 40 hits were announced. At Frankston Arts Centre on Friday 5 March, 40 Years to the week, we  roll out those same Top 40 tunes, with the Top 20 performed LIVE! In March 1981 Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off a dove at a CBS record  label gathering in Los Angeles, France performs nuclear test at Mururoa  atoll and there was the first homicide at Disneyland, with an 18 year  old being stabbed to death. But more importantly The 3XY TOP 40 on 5 March 1981 featured ACDC, Split  Enz, The Flowers, Paul Kelly, Air Supply and Slim Dusty. We also had Dr  Hook, Adam & The Ants, John Lennon and Daryl Hall & John Oates  just to name a few!! Yes folks the beginning of the 80s was a very special time and a time to  be celebrated, so see you on Friday 5 March with bells on!!!
